I have read the following information:
Any person registering as an apprentice electrician after January 31, 2008, is required to have completed one of the following board approved education programs. Without board approved education, you will not be eligible for licensure.
Related Training:
Has successfully completed five hundred seventy-six (576) hours of training classes recognized by the board and completed eight thousand (8,000) hours' practical experience, which experience may not be obtained in less than three years.
Professional Electrician Apprenticeship Program (PEAP):
Has completed at least (8,000) hours of on-the-job work experience before entering a PEAP recognized by the board, completion of three hundred and seventy-two (372) hours of required PEAP related instruction to supplement the on-the-job learning, and completion of an additional (4,000) hours of on-the-job training (2 years) during the (372) (PEAP) classroom hours.
Two Year College Degree:
Has successfully completed at least two years of electrical college degree approved by the board and completed six thousand (6,000) hours' practical experience; which experience may not be obtained in less than three years.
